Nick Flint
An aspiring writer

Nick Flint is an aspiring novelist from Gold Coast, Australia. Instigating his passion for Creative Writing and English Literature at an early age, he spent much of his childhood at the local library. Having read the entire Child’s Fiction section by age ten, he was given permission to use the typewriter every day after school. Almost a year later he had produced a 12,000 word story about a mirror that led to a haunted cathedral, entitled “The Portal of Doom”.

After high school he went on to study Multimedia and Journalism, soon developing a keen interest in philosophy and social science, as well as working as an Apprentice Chef for a local catering company. He is now going on to teach English in Tokyo, Japan while he completes his debut novel, “The Replicated Man”.

The Replicated Man is based on the bestselling game, Fallout 3 by Bethesda Softworks, set in the year 2277, and is a re-envisioning of a side-quest which had little detail attached. In this, a highly sophisticated android escapes the clutches of his maniacal creators, taking refuge in the post-apocalyptic ruins of the Capital Wasteland. Residing with an underground vigilante group, he soon finds himself in the midst of a technological war against the ever-expanding empire of his former captors.
